OTK Boots

Hey everyone, happy Monday!  I've had quite a hectic past week.  I've been busy with a million different things, and I am exhausted(seriously, I think I'm sleep deprived).  This past week has also been quite tragic, there has been 2 heartbreaking deaths in my community.  I won't go into much detail, but it just puts life into perspective and reminds us that we don't have unlimited time and we just have to live in the moment.

Now on to today's outfit.  I actually bit the bullet, and decided to wear this J.Crew turtleneck.  I usually think of old ladys when I think of turtlenecks(sorry!), but they are actually starting to grow on me.  Since they have become a major trend this year I decided to give them a shot.  And the verdict is... they are really warm and cozy, and they keep your neck super warm.  I styled mine super casually(obviously), and paired it with some grey skinnies, and my favorite hat.  Oh! And I can't forget this bag, the Phillip Lim for target bag.  To be honest this bag has been sitting in my closet ever since I bought it.  But a few weeks ago I actually started using it, and I LOVE IT!!  You will be seeing it a ton, so get ready.

Ok one last thing.  Can we talk about these boots.  They are supposed to be over the knee boots.  But they just barely reach my knee(huh?).  And these were the tallest ones I could find.  Really?  Could boot designers not make an over the knee boot for someone taller that 5 feet?  I feel like the only OTK boots I can find that are taller than these, are hella expensive.  And girl, no one can shell out $750 for boots(without saving up).  At least these look like the 5050 boot.  I mean, that's a plus.  And I just wanted to let you guys know, I found two very similar pairs here and here for under $100!(they would work good if you were under 5" 6'

 xo, Elle
