Hey everyone! As you might remember I did a "25 uses for vaseline" post a few months ago(here) And it ended up being a very popular post. So I decided I would do 25 household products that can be used for beauty purposes. If you walk around your house you can find a ton of things that can be used for beauty purposes. Anything from food to a toothbrush can be used.
Dryer Sheets
Dryer sheets can help remove static. You can use them if you clothes are to staticy. Or you can use them on your hair if you didn't have time to shower. It will not only tame fly aways and frizzy hair but it will also make you hair smell good.
Salt + Sugar
Salt and Sugar are like sisters when you are using them for beauty purposes. They both are great ingredients for a homemade face mask. You use salt if you want a more intense face mask. And you use sugar if your sin is more sensitive.
Baking Soda
Baking soda can be used for a lot of things. You can use it as a face wash, deodorant, dry shampoo or even as an acne spot treatment. But the main thing baking soda can do is help whiten teeth.
Coffee Grounds
Coffee Grounds can be used to help get rid of cellulite. All you have to do is smear warm coffee grounds on the area that has cellulite and then wrap it with plastic wrap for about 10-20 minutes.
Lemon Juice
Lemon Juice can be used to add highlights to hair, and it can also be used to help strengthen and whiten nails.
Olive Oil
Olive Oil can be used in a scrub or cleanser. It can be used to soften hair. And lastly you can put it in a bath as a bath oil.
Conditioner
Conditioner can be used for not only your hair but for shaving cream. So next time you run out just use conditioner, it will save money too!
Metal Spoons
Metal spoons are a quick fix to puffy eyes. Whether you didn't get enough sleep or you have been crying. All you have to do is put metal spoons in the freezer for a few minutes and then put them right under your eyes.
Eggs
Use egg yolks for a hair moisturizer, or you can use them in a face mask.
Honey
Honey can be used as a mask or cleanser. It will help for glowing skin and prevents aging. You can also use honey on a sunburn for relief.
Toothpaste
Toothpaste can be used to help acne. So next time your out of your favorite spot treatment, just use toothpaste! You can also use toothpaste to help whiten yellow nails.
A Toothbrush
A toothbrush can help get rid of dead skin on your lips. Just get the toothbrush a little wet and then "brush" your lips. This should get rid of all the dead skin cells.
Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil can be used for many things. You can use it as a body scrub, moisturizer, substitute for shaving cream, help soothe dry hands, use it as a deep conditioner, and remove eye makeup.
Tomato Juice
Tomato Juice helps get rid of black heads on your face. It also helps with restoring the natural color of your hair.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is probably one of the most versatile household products that you can use. You can use it for a countless number of things. Such as helping to remove stains from your teeth and helping with acne. For more uses check out this list.
Mayonnaise
Mayonnaise can be used to help strengthen your finger nails, and it can also be used as a deep conditioner.
Cucumbers
I bet you have already heard of this beauty DIY, but just in case you didn't know; If you place slices on your eyes they will de-puff and lighten dark circles.
Oatmeal
You can use oatmeal in a homemade face mask. The oatmeal will act as a great exfoliant.
Flat Iron
When you're in a hurry use a flat iron to iron your blouses. Or you can use a flat iron to iron in between buttons where a regular iron can't fit.
Body Lotion
Body lotion can be used to tame unwanted flyways.
Yogurt
If you burn your forehead using a curling iron just put some plain yogurt on the wound. The coolness of the yogurt will help with the swelling, and it will also reduce the redness and speed up the healing process.
Avocado
The oils and nutrients in avocado provide an ideal face mask. Avocado also helps to exfoliate the skin.
Strawberries
Strawberries can be used as an acne face mask, or just a spot treatment. Strawberries have salicylic acid in them, which is the same stuff that is found in acne products.
Potatoes
Slice raw potatoes and put them on your eyelids to reduce puffiness.
Tea
Use tea as a refreshing and cleansing toner.
